Factor I: Accountability: To provide Technical support, develop MRO Proposals, and manage complete execution of mid-size Orders in Micro

Motion and Rosemount Flow business (India region)

1) Technical Product Support to Customers and Sales teams

Pre-Order: Provide basic pre-sale technical support for project business for the entire range of MMI / RF products

  • Perform technical review of customer’s project bid package
  • Participate in internal project strategy discussions & convert the plan into specific offerings
  • Generate engineering specifications based on Customer’s flow metering requirements
  • Translate customer’s project documentation requirements to specific quotable items
  • Liaise with EMR divisions/factories on customer’s special requirements mainly inspection scope, packing specs., special testing/certification requirement
  • Convert customer’s inspection requirement to specific Inspection & Test Plan
  • Identify & document exceptions/non-compliances to customer specifications
  • Develop final formal proposal packages
  • Follow project bid submission procedure
  • Utilize informational tools to support Customer product application queries and provide solutions

Post Order: Ensure timely execution of mid-size projects maintaining customer satisfaction through the quality of all project deliverables

  • Perform technical screening of project purchase orders to ensure clean order
  • Develop and maintain project planning under supervision of team lead
  • Maintain proper understanding of payment milestones, delivery terms & project deliverables associated with it
  • Fulfill project documentation requirement by liaising with document controller
  • Minimize pre-production document approval cycle time by ensuring:
    – timely submission of documents
    – accuracy & completeness of information in documents
    – proper follow up with customer & close co-ordination with countries
  • Ensure proper approval of specifications/documents by the customer prior to release to production
  • Finalize buyout(if any) technical specifications with vendor & customer & liaise with OA group to ensure clean order placed on vendor
  • Support Order Administrator in identifying and resolving technical queries from factories during order entry and ensure clean execution of orders
  • Address customer’s technical queries and manage post order changes in technical specification
  • Keep clean records of all specifications, drawings, minutes of meetings, progress reports and other relevant documents
  • Anticipate possible contingencies & perform timely escalation & communication to sales
  • Work closely with Division’s Quality department to ensure smooth execution of customer inspection & attain inspection clearance

2) Provide proposal support for Customers with Global Agreements

  • Generate Engineering Specifications and Quotations for inquiries from Customers with Global Purchase Agreements (like DOW, Reliance IMM)
  • Maintain database of current versions of Global Customer Agreements

3) Maintains an understanding of general business practices

  • Understand and exercise MMI / RF policies and practices
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of products, completes training to develop additional support skills and new products knowledge
  • Works in compliance with Local Work Instructions to follow best practices & deliver quality services
  • Participates in Project Management Continuous Improvement Programs to improve existing processes, develop new processes, and service that ‘delight’ the Customer
  • Utilize project tracking tool to maintain complete project information & time utilization to countries.
  • Keeps a log of the key measures of project management and is involved in periodic reviews of the team performance


  • Degree in Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics / Chemical Engineering
  • 3~4 years experience in Instrumentation or Process Control environment
  • Team player willing to perform any duties to provide exceptional services to exceed customer expectations
  • Strong written and communication skills in technical environment
